PADI Open Water Diver / CMAS 1★ – Your First Step into Scuba Diving

The PADI Open Water Diver / CMAS 1★ certification is the globally recognized “level 1” of scuba diving, allowing you to dive up to 18 metres under the guidance of a dive professional—or independently with a dive buddy, depending on local regulations. It’s designed for first-time divers or anyone who has completed an introductory dive but is not yet certified.

During this course, you’ll learn to use and maintain standard diving equipment and acquire the essential knowledge and skills to safely explore the underwater world.

Course Structure

The course takes three days and combines theory, confined water practice, and open water dives:

1. Theory & Knowledge Development
   • Learn the basics of scuba diving with a PADI or CMAS Instructor through a combination of methods: DVD, book, or online PADI eLearning.
   • Topics include dive principles, safety rules, equipment usage, and dive planning.
   • Complete a final knowledge review/exam.
2. Confined Water Skills Practice (Day 1)
   • Perform five confined water dives to practice basic dive techniques and safety skills in a controlled environment.
3. Open Water Dives (Days 2 & 3)
   • Complete four open water dives at some of Kemer’s most beautiful dive sites, in water temperatures ranging from 27–30°C.
   • Apply your skills under the supervision of certified instructors while exploring vibrant marine life.

Upon successful completion, you will receive your PADI Open Water Diver or CMAS 1★ certification, recognized worldwide.

Course Prerequisites

To enroll, you must:

• Be at least 14 years old
• Be able to swim
• Be in good health
